A

  • API

    An API is a way for one program to ask another for data or an action under agreed rules, with no clicking, such as a shop passing orders to accounting software.

C

  • Client portal

    A client portal is the part of a company’s system that clients sign in to: they check the status of their cases, exchange documents and see only their own data.

D

  • DMARC

    DMARC is a DNS record that tells receiving mail servers what to do with a message using your domain that failed SPF and DKIM, and where to send reports.

P

  • Power Automate

    Power Automate is Microsoft’s service for building flows: automations that carry out steps in a company’s applications when an event occurs or at a set time.

S

  • Single source of truth

    A single source of truth means that each piece of information, such as a client’s tax ID, is edited in one place, and other systems take it from there.

W

  • Webhook

    A webhook is a notification that one system sends by itself, as an HTTP request to another system’s address, when an event occurs, such as an order being paid.
